Death is the ultimate enemy of man. If a person is born on earth, he must die. Death was a bond that made it difficult for a human to be free. The Bible says the wages of sin is death. But through the Lord Jesus Christ, we have received the gift of life for eternity. (Romans 6:23) Sin entered the world through one man and death through sin. And in this way all the generations sinned. (Romans 5:12) No person in the world is out of sin. (Romans 3:23)
No matter who you are, if you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, then you are subject to death. If you have not repented for your sins, then you are in slavery to sin. You are in captivity No human can give freedom from the captivity of this death. For this reason, Jesus Christ himself had to come into the world to take our sins on himself. He took the transgression of all mankind on himself. When Jesus was in the world, he was tested. he knew who he is, but did not threaten anyone. Neither did he abuse anyone.
Peter says – “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds, you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24) Jesus Christ knew how he would be treated. But making himself obedient before his father. He had told his disciples that he would rise after his death. (Matt. 16:21) But the high priest and the Roman rulers sealed the tomb. And appointed guards outside the tomb. But when the time was over, death could not bind Jesus. He rose from the dead. The tomb opened. The guards fainted. Jesus Christ rose. Now he says- and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. (Rev. 1:18)
History is witness that Jesus is alive. Paul testifies in his epistle – Christ Jesus who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. (Romans 8:34)
May God bless you to celebrate his resurrection power every day.
